About me

Today's world is saturated with images that we have already seen a thousand times. Because of that, they are uninspiring and we look the other way. I believe that the most effective way to draw peoples' interest is to show something different, creative and unique. This is also something that tells a story and evokes feelings. Here is where I come in to play.

My name is Jukka and I am a visual content creator based in Helsinki, Finland. I create unique stories in the form of dramatic imagery and film that evoke feelings. The story could be about a new business about to make a break-through, a person who wants to showcase her talent or perhaps an interesting new product. I have been working full time in the creative fields of photography and video for over 6 years now and with the modern digital tools at my disposal, everything is possible!

My work is often described as dramatic, evoking, cinematic and painterly. I draw inspiration from movies, fairy tales, myths, legends and of course old works by master painters like Rembrandt and Michelangelo. However, when it comes to taking the portrait of a person, the most important ingredient is to connect. This is one of my philosophies when I meet new clients for a photo shoot. We'll have a talk and get to know each other before I even pick up the camera. If there is no connection between the photographer and the model, then ultimately there is no connection between the viewer and the image.

When I'm not shooting, I am a crazy adventure traveller, a lover of fantasy and science fiction, and a fitness enthusiast.
